[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.
The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.
Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.
There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.
Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.
His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.
The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.
He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.
Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

Date: 2015-10-30 09:04 pm (UTC)From:[The terminal is soon enough found and he tugs the titan into the belly of the aircraft, giving his hand another squeeze before finding a suitable seat. Nerves were starting to plague him more but he had a handle on them. At least they were alone as he had asked for.]
Comfy at least.

Date: 2015-10-31 12:03 am (UTC)From:[There aren't a lot of words for that, and he squeezes James' hand once, trying to convey everything that he's unable to say in the small gesture. It's more than he deserves, and there's a tightness to his chest at that.
And he's grinning because of it as he takes a seat, making himself comfortable.]
Riding in style. Better than cramped cockpits for sure.

Date: 2015-10-31 12:22 am (UTC)From:[Listening to thrum of the turbines, he leans over to brush his shoulder against Liam lightly after getting comfortable himself. Then he's back to being focused and waiting for the pilot to start their descent, having grown used to being in this type of transport after his induction in order to move about the towers and the cities easier.
The titan still had a decent hold on his hand though which was a definite plus.]
We should be dropped off close by to the place.

Date: 2015-10-31 12:45 am (UTC)From:[It's soft, and it's reverent, and he leans over for a soft kiss as the ride continues. He does behave though, though he doesn't release his grip on James' hand.]
It'll be perfect. Already is right now.

Date: 2015-10-31 03:05 am (UTC)From:[Oh but that's a kiss which helps soothe his nerves some. There was no complaints or anything so he was doing something right.]
That's the plan hopefully.

Date: 2015-10-31 05:46 am (UTC)From:[And it's honestly more than he ever would have expected, which is humbling in a way. That brings another soft grin, and another gentle squeeze of James' hand.]
Didn't I promise that it'd be? It's gonna. You're here, it's already perfect.

Date: 2015-10-31 06:38 am (UTC)From:[And he's starting to ramble so he gives a small nod and tries to focus elsewhere which would work better if there were actual windows in the aircraft.]
I know. It's really great so far.

Date: 2015-10-31 07:19 am (UTC)From:He won't do them anymore hopefully but he'd appreciate that. Just depends if you aren't distracted when we get home. That's the big thing really.

Date: 2015-10-31 09:16 am (UTC)From:Hm fair enough. Appreciate you behaving though. ...Still curious about those details of me being face first.

Date: 2015-10-31 09:19 am (UTC)From:I mean, I mention it, yeah?
[Ah, it feels like there's no time for that though, there's a telltale shift of the ship, and he hums under his breath.]
When we get back home. Promise.

Date: 2015-10-31 05:54 pm (UTC)From:[Straightening back up, he gives a soft sigh before making sure that everything was still on schedule and in place. So far they were doing good. However he does laugh softly and shakes head.]
I think I can live with not knowing. No need for that promise.

Date: 2015-10-31 07:19 pm (UTC)From:[They have to be getting close, by the way the descent feels.]
You ever get curious though, I'll spill in full detail. Just not when we're going to land soon.
no subject
Date: 2015-10-31 08:42 pm (UTC)From:You're more than welcome to spill when you like. I'm just saying that there's no need to promise it. If it happens, it happens.
[The engines cycle down after a final bump and the bay door opens, allowing him to step out and survey the streets.]

Date: 2015-11-01 03:21 am (UTC)From:[But he's just teasing, and definitely electing to stay seated during the descent; he's not as limber or balanced as the hunter. But when things are finally settled, he moves to stand and exit shortly behind James, nudging him again with his shoulder.]
We on time?

Date: 2015-11-01 05:07 am (UTC)From:[He glances over at him and hooks his arm around Liam's waist, pulling him in close before coaxing him out of the aircraft and onto the streets. His pace remaining steady enough for the titan to not be dragged around.]
We're doing good though. Have plenty of time to get there.

[Then it's back to behaving and he looks away.]
