[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.
The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.
Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.
There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.
Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.
His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.
The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.
He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.
Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

Date: 2015-11-04 03:10 am (UTC)From:He was always being bombarded with so much noise with his current job that he took much more enjoyment out of quiet. Though there was difference between being alone and with company. Much preferred the latter really.
As soon as he's finished does he carefully lean into Liam contently.]

You have anywhere else you wanted to go tonight?

Might as well. You're going to spend time with me regardless but sure. That sounds good to me.

I'll bother the other vanguards and everything.

Though I think you'd grow rather bored quickly. Especially when I do reports or have to leave you in the office for a meeting.

And see, I can think of a lot better things to do at your desk than file reports, yeah?

Date: 2015-11-05 07:12 am (UTC)From:[The pocket pat down gains his attention for a brief moment but then there's his hand being taken up once more, lacing his fingers with Liam's happily. Oh really? And what would that be?

I mean, might say that thinking about things helped keep me from going stir-crazy on Venus.

Date: 2015-11-05 10:40 am (UTC)From:[To be honest, the hunter was slightly jealous of the titan and his host. After signing on as a vanguard, he lost his rights to be a fireteam leader and didn't really belong anywhere. Maybe the tower but even then he could be replaced.
However he keeps that to himself and focuses on getting them back to the landing zone. Last thing he needed to do was bring the mood down.]
Well I now know what those ideas might pertain to. Not too sure now if I should let you into my office let alone near my desk.

Date: 2015-11-05 08:03 pm (UTC)From:[He squeezes James' hand for a moment.]
And I belong to someone a lot more important first and foremost. Host is family, but there's someone else I'd rather spend the rest of my rezzed life with.
[That got a little heavier than he'd intended, though it's entirely the truth. Still, he puts on a smirk to lighten the mood, raising a brow and shrugging his shoulders as if in innocence.]
I mean, would you be so cruel as to ban me from your office, though?
no subject
Date: 2015-11-05 08:31 pm (UTC)From:[It makes him think about what he could consider his family. The fireteam had been a great team but it wasn't exactly what he would call a family though, good friends maybe. His mentor and her team, at least the older half, might be the closest thing to it.
Still he keeps the dilemma to himself and rolls his eyes at the next bit of the conversation. It was something easier to talk about anyway.]
I don't know about ban but maybe have a few rules in place. So you don't try to distract me at every moment and I can get some work done.

Hey though, I have some self control. Only gonna bend you over the desk if you ask, so your work is safe, cross my heart.
