Future Stuff ::1:: Been Up All Night
[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.
The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.
Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.
There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.
Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.
His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.
The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.
He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.
Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

Time skip? o/
[He doesn't exactly want to but he needs to so he breaks away from the titan and heads upstairs to get clothes on. Simple stuff really. There was no need to get all decked out just yet.
Shade is hovering over his shoulder soon enough as he makes sure that his boots are laced up properly. Then a jacket is thrown on, to keep that warmth going.]
See you back here later. Ok?
[Then he's heading out the door. Medical supplies, maybe some food or drinks that are missing but definitely something more important took priority. He wanted this perfect for the titan. The ghost is sent to reserve themselves a table at the restaurant.]
can do o/
But there are things to be done.]
Yeah. Don't be too long.
[He's got a few things that need to be taken care of too, after all, and it makes the afternoon go quickly. There's a twinge of nerves as it gets later and later, and though he's spent a fair amount of time cleaning himself up, making sure that he's presentable, there's still slight worry. He checks his pockets, makes sure everything is in order, and unfortunately there's little to do beyond small repairs to his armor, but even then, he's careful not to muss himself up.
Nothing left to do but wait.]
no subject
Meanwhile the hunter is trying not to stress out and is seconds in after him. This was supposed to be a nice and simple evening. He even managed to get a suit and everything.
His hand periodically going to his breast pocket to make sure things were still there and thankfully they were. However he glances around to focus on the titan waiting for him. That took longer than he expected. Shit.]
Sorry about that. I didn't mean to be out so late. Got everything though.
no subject
Shade. Alright, that's definitely an explanation. Sometimes it always seemed like the ghost was way too excited about everything. Interesting in comparision to his guardian, really, but the noise is definitely enough to distract the titan at the moment.]
Wha- no it's fine. Not that long.
[And worth the wait, it seems like, because he'd almost forgotten how well James cleaned up. There's a moment that he just appreciates the sight, and then he's standing, walking over to wrap an arm around the hunter's shoulders in order to pull him in for a soft kiss.]
Go out now and find somewhere to hit up?
no subject
The hunter sighs softly at the nonsense and shakes his head before glancing back. He was being watched and he didn't know if that was a good thing or not. Then his attention goes to movement and of course the kiss.]
I might've already had a place in mind. Nice restaurant with downstairs bar and all. We haven't been there in a while.
I ugh...thought it'd be nice to start something at place that was already significant. If that's good with you.
no subject
Have I said you're a sap? 'cause you are, and I love it. 'course it's good with me.
no subject
[He gives him another kiss then looking him over before fixing Liam's tie, giving a soft laugh.]
I can tell that you were up to something.
no subject
[But he grins widely all the same, unwilling to give anything away further. There's a small noise of amusement at the adjustments though, and he rolls his eyes dramatically, all in good jest.]
Am I all good and proper now though? Okay to leave the apartment?
no subject
[His own roll of his eyes and wraps the tie around his hand to tug Liam down some, smirking.]
You going to be a dick about this? Me and Shade can have a nice dinner on our own.
[A light teasing remark really. The ghost mentioned even moves over and glances between the two curiously, eye still flashing in and out.]
no subject
[But he's mirroring the smirk, grin toothy and amused at the action.]
I dunno, I'm sure Shade is great dinner company, but would you really be so cruel as to leave me here?
no subject
[The tie is released and he's moving towards the door, his ghost vanishing off into transmat but not without a final weird ambulance noise. There's a small shrug as he glances back, smirking.]
Alright, I'm not that mean. Maybe if you play your cards right, you can have what you wanted on Venus. Hm...what was it? Oh right. Me face first into the sheets and moaning for you.
[Definitely going to tease about that still.]
no subject
[But he's being released, and suddenly there's noise from Shade again and that catches his attention. Catches it so well that he almost misses James' next comment, but he does manage to pay enough attention. It has him raising his brows and huffing in mock indignation, though there's definitely an undertone of amusement in his voice as he makes haste to follow along.]
Hey, it gets super lonely out there, cut me some slack.
no subject
[He's already heading out the door by then, his hands casually in his pockets as he moves down through the hall. Hook, line and sinker though from what he can hear.]
I don't think so. Definitely won't on that one. It had to be uncomfortable though. Get all hard, in armor too, and not be able to do a damn thing.
no subject
[It's phrased so poorly, but there's definite meaning to his words, far more than he's really able to eloquently express.
And any eloquence that he may have had certainly takes leave as he furrows his brows and hurries after the hunter with a huff.]
Thought this was supposed to be a nice evening out. Like, my tie being crooked is gonna be the least of our worries if you keep that up.
no subject
[He's definitely being a little shit right now because this was such an interesting reaction that he was getting from Liam. Besides he was also passing the time to the restaurant which wasn't necessarily a bad thing at all.
A glance is thrown behind him as the titan catches, wondering if there was any change to be honest. So far not that he can tell and he's smirking. Tie was still in place. Good.]
no subject
[He shoots the hunter a mock glare, raising a brow and crossing his arms as if he's actually cross with the man, though he's keeping pace well enough.]
You want to be late to the reservation? Keep it up.
no subject
[Good luck on that one. He was more than certain that he was going to get the both of them to that restaurant and within time of their reservation. Smirk still out on display, he looks over.]
And here I was trying to make simple conversation.
no subject
[Now he's just teasing back though, and he leans over to gently nudge the hunter with his shoulder with a raised brow.]
no subject
[The nudge is retaliated with one of his own in turn, facing forward in order to not turn red at the moment. It was so far working though he didn't know for how long.]
Am I riling you up? Be a shame if we're late.
no subject
[He's grinning for a moment, before his brows furrow again and he shrugs as nonchalantly as he possibly can.]
I mean, you're the one talking about everything, and saying we have to be on time. I'm trying to be on my best behaviour.
no subject
[That's not too much of a joking tone he's hearing though so must mean that he needs to cool it and simply behave himself. He rubs the back of his neck while heading towards the city transport carriers.]
Fine. I'll stop. Sorry.
no subject
Never said you had to stop, just that we might be late if you didn't.
[Perhaps he shouldn't be so bemused, but he certainly is.]
Maybe I'll just have to let you know in detail what it was I was thinking of, at some point.
no subject
Fair enough.
I'm sure you'd enjoy doing so. Maybe if our ride is as private as I hope.
no subject
[But he's beaming nonetheless, and he reaches over to entwine his fingers with James.]
no subject
It made sense. Faster to get to plus less of a hassle than calling in our own ships. Besides I do have some sway here. But you deserve it...so yea.
