Future Stuff ::1:: Been Up All Night

[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.

The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.

Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.

There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.

Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.

His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.

The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.

He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.

Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

[He lets out a low warning growl and pushes back against the titan in order to regain some of the lost water coverage, leaning his head back contently.]

You had one already. Don't steal.

Not stealing, sharing.

[But he relents just a bit, though he doesn't back away completely.]

Oh really? This is what you call it? Sharing?

[He turns around and pulls Liam into a quick kiss then back to enjoying the shower. Don't get too distracted. He can do this.]

[The kiss is nice, albeit far too short for.his.liking, and he heaves a dramatic sigh as the hunter turns back around. It takes so little effort to lean forward and drape himself over James' shoulders, winding his arms around his chest in a loose hug.]

See? Sharing. 's cold otherwise.

[sword_breaker]

[Apparently that sigh was a sign that Liam was hoping for more attention or something, earning a glance back towards him. Ok and then he's get hugged and leaned on. Right. He smirks some, placing a hand on the titan's arm appreciatively.]

Well I could make it hotter if you're cold. Just so you know.

[It was both a tease and a truth really.]

Mmmyeah.

[He closes his eyes in contentment, leaning forward to rest his head on James' shoulder with a grin.]

Yeah definitely that.

Figured you'd say so.

[Gently breaking the hold on him, he turns around and pulls Liam into another kiss. However this was nowhere near as quick as the other one had been. His hands easing down the titan's sides before resting low on his hips, thumbs gently running along the curve of them.]

[Oh, the kiss is certainly nice, and even if he's reticent to break away, he can't help but grin. One hand strays up, fingers tracing the curve of the hunter's jaw.]

Hey, I was being completely innocent.

[There's bemusement in his tone though, and he leans in for a deeper kiss.]

[He tilts his head in tune with the soft touches, lowering his eyes with a quiet laugh.]

And what if I wasn't? It did have a double...

[The words die in his throat at the next kiss, one of his hands trailing up to the titan's lower back to coax him closer.]

[Double meaning indeed, and there's an amused noise into the kiss, and he retaliates with a small nip to the hunter's lower lip and a slight shift of his hips. His free hand splays over James' side, tracing nonsensical patterns over his skin.]

[Apparently the meaning has been caught on and approved of so he dips his head down, brushing his lips over Liam's pulse briefly. Then he gives a soft bite to start working a mark into the titan's skin with a pleased noise.]

[There's a sharp intake of breath at the sensation, but it trails off into a shakey sound of amusement. His fingers stray to the back of James' neck, holding him close.]

Showing the world what's yours?

Absolutely. I can think of another way but this is the easiest and least expensive so...

[The mark is made dark and lasting, once to his satisfaction does he press a soft kiss to it before moving to gently nip along Liam's collar.]

[He laughs breathlessly, running his hand over James' hip fondly, trailing his fingers up the hunter's spine.]

Should tell me about the others though.

True on that.

[Oh. That wasn't a thing he had actually figured would be asked about. His eyes flicker away and he makes sure that his blindside is facing the titan before going back to work.]

It's nothing really. Mostly involves a ring or whatever.

[Oh. Oh that isn't something he was expecting to hear, and there's a quiet intake of breath, his fingers pausing their journey up the hunter's back as he tries to take time to process.]

I mean- like I wouldn't be against it.

[sword_breaker]

As I said, it's ugh nothing. Just forget about it.

[He couldn't exactly see the titan's face right now so he was going by touch and hearing which weren't exactly giving him the confidence he needed after admitting that. So he tries to busy himself by smearing kisses along Liam's shoulder.]

[No, no that doesn't sit right, and while the mouth at his shoulder is nice, he reaches to nudge James up, taking care not to startle him from his blind side. He then steals a soft kiss, breaking away only to gently knock his forehead against the other's.]

's not nothing. Like the opposite of nothing.

[Suddenly nerves, and he laughs quietly under his breath to try to hide it.]

Besides, how cool would it be to say 'oh yeah, the vanguard? You mean my husband, right?'.

[When in doubt, joke.]

[Shit no don't make him look up. The hunter keeps his eyes downcasted to avoid further blows to his nerves but the kiss catches him off guard. That wasn't what he expected at all or rather assumed.]

Yea you're right. More like a lot of something.

[That earns a soft chuckle from him as he moves down to nuzzle into his neck.]

Would be seriously proud of it. Also that and the look on people's faces. But I could point out the tough as hell titan that's mine.

[Words again, they're becoming more and more difficult as he tries to parse through the nerves that are suddenly leaving him tongue tied.]

Do you want to, then?

[And maybe it's not the most romantic time, or way, to be asking: back from patrol, bruised up, and still somewhat interested from the hunter's previous ministrations. But it's an important question, damnit.]

Wait what? Do what marriage or whatever? I ugh...

[What the hell are words let alone comprehending questions at this rate? But it decides to finall click and he's pulling him into a deep kiss before smirking some, pressing his forehead to Liam's.]

Hell yes. I-if you're good with it.

[The few moments of incomprehension seem to last forever, and something in his chest twists terribly. He must have overstepped his bounds, this was such a spur of the moment bad idea-

and he's being kissed, and that's all he needs. His eyes slip shut and he takes a deep breath to try to steady himself, even as he's grinning like an idiot.]

Yeah. Yeah, yeah I am. Really am.

[sword_breaker]

[His chest tightens in wait for his response but everything relaxes afterwards and he lets out a soft noise of contentment. This wasn't what he had expected to happen after making that ridiculous comment but he wasn't exactly going to complain.]

That's um really good to know. I wish it was a better time or something. Maybe at a dinner or so. Maybe even not in a shower and all. Be you know clothed possibly.

[Dammit he's rambling and glances away to hide that fact. Shit.]

[He laughs at that, winding his arms tight around the hunter.]

Uh, yeah. Should...could try for take two tonight if you want? Go out somewhere fancy or whatever, do it the proper wag?

I'd like to do that. Get all decked out and pop the question properly. It'd be great.

[He presses a kiss to the titan's neck before going back to a grin.]
