[There's a slight wind to give signs that colder weather was going to hit the city at some point but otherwise the chill didn't faze many much with the sun pouring down rays without any resistance from white wisps streaking across blue. Another busy work day for most people as they packed the sidewalks in order to accomplish whatever the day asked of them to do, some of them heading off towards lunch break even as the afternoon brought along ease in traffic after the rushing around or rather dead still in the morning commutes that always came like clockwork. The towering skyscrapers piercing above while scattered about were busy shops and apartment complexes ranging to the higher end of the spectrum, fortunate for several residents of them being close to where they worked usually.

However it didn't matter much to the man lying face first towards the blue in an alley, red bursts staining his shirt in an act of fatal defiance against the fabric. He wasn't caring about anything anymore. Pools of crimson have congealing into a sticky mess at his side to keep company with the broken body though it was a waste honestly. A barrier of yellow and black tape announcing the crime scene as if the body and the blood weren't enough already to do so. Officers scurrying about to comb through every little thing in order to scrounge up evidence ranging from fingerprints to shell casings while a medical examiner started jotting down notes as though it were a race.

To be fair, it was a race that was ticking away for all of them but yet he didn't exactly have to put so much effort into finding out the who, why and whatnot of this particular case. Never really showed interest in the exact details of a person's death as it wasn't under his job description nor would he if paid enough, more so content enough with the tasks that were scheduled for him to do. He sends a confirmation of his arrival with a quick text before stowing away the smart phone into his back pocket and assessing the fussing police. No doubt Matthieu was going to blow his phone up with messages after getting the answer but that could be ignored.

Passing underneath the tape, the man eased through the scene with no problems coming from the uniformed others. Though that was the point of having such a decent illusion in order to essentially make him invisible, allowing a much easier time accomplishing his tasks without the stupid questions that would be raised at his presence much less what he would do here. He had the slight frown that could've been considered appropriate for the situation but the claw marks and irrevocably damaged right eye would certainly cause a more sinister thought process to occur. Maybe even be considered as a hit man that had down the crime but to be fair he didn't hunt unless told otherwise and certainly not boring humans such as this idiot. Besides a man decked in a suit stood out in this mess with much help to his disregard of everything save for the dead man who certainly was still brimming with the confused energy of a trapped soul. Definitely need to rectify that.

James crouched down right next to the examiner and fished out a knife before making an incision right at the heart before reaching down to draw out the reluctant soul. The reaper was only doing his job and besides no one was going to see him do his work, not the police nor the surrounding crowd of onlookers.

He was looking forward to the break after this one, sneak away towards his usual haunt; a coffee shop that boasted fantastic blends that were more so a necessity at this rate rather than a mere commodity and plus the perfect spot he claimed by the window in order to watch the world keep moving. The energy from the illusion would be easily restored during that. Then it would be another one in midtown before being able to return back home for the day and unwind. That or check with the bar to make sure a friend or two didn't snoop around more than they should. The former was going to be the most probable though so he shows the other idea to the back of his mind before focusing.]

[There's slick beneath his fingers, and it draws a low, echoing groan from him.]

[Her breathing hitches at the attention, betraying her further growing want. It was a nice torture that makes her clutch at the bar and rock her hips with soft noises.]

[Shifting, she lifts herself up to aide in the removal before settling down to enjoy once more.]

[That's a noise that he wants to hear, and for a moment it just brings a toothy smirk to his lips. Patience is something he's not interested in at the moment, however, and so the moment her pants are gone he's biting again, working light marks down her chest, stopping to toy with a nipple before tracing his tongue lower.

No teasing now, it's been too long a wait for that. Instead, his hands slide between her thighs, pushing them apart before his mouth is on her.]

[She hums contently while his mouth roams farther down her body, leaning her head back while her fingers twitch at the bottom of the stool. Later on she'd wear these marks proudly. They were just important as the mark. However she tenses and gasps, trying yet failing to swallow a moan.]

[Were he able to, he'd be smirking. Another point in his favour, and he'll take it. She's hot and salt-slick against his tongue, and four hours of wait seem well worth it to hear her moan. His fingers twitch against her thighs, holding her steady as he works.]

[Good thing about having waited is that she doesn't have to make an attempt at being quiet. Pleased noises slipped off her lips as she winds a hand into his hair.]

[Eyes screwed shut, she rocks her hips slightly.]

[There's an echoed noise offered as he feels fingers wind in his hair, another tick in his favour. But he's not so cruel as to stop, no, not after being denied for so long. Four hours felt like an eternity, and he's certain that he's going to make up for the wait many times tonight.]

[It's a soft tease after a breathy moan. This wasn't as comfortable as the apartment but gods she didn't know if he could've survived behaving that much longer. This was certainly bad for work as her thoughts started to jumble together into a mess.]

Still doesn't mean I'll open the office whenever...

[Oh how he wants to respond, to tease and encourage, but all he goes is groan against her in his own want. Oh what a better idea it would have been to open the office, but he has her here now panting and he wouldn't have it any other way.]

[She curls her fingers and shudders against him, shifting against the hardness of the bar against her back. Certainly not going to complain about this though. The wolf knew how to treat a lady right. A shaky smirk popping up as she pants.]

C-come on, one sided much?

[One sided indeed, and it's another tick in his favour. The best he can manage is a low noise as his fingers curl into her thighs to keep her from moving away.]

[Kind of a minus tick in the comfortable department. She was slightly regretting the bar but it's forgotten in favor of moaning. Maybe there's a whimper thrown in there but she doesn't care right now.]

[Perhaps the apartment would have been a better choice, but that's in the past. Her noises are so rewarding, and he doubles his efforts and moans low and quiet.]

C-Cyril...fuck.

[She shifts under his hold and gives another whimper cause her patience was now worn impossibly thin. A low growl slips out because how else was she supposed to get his attention?]

[That growl, it does so many things for him, and though he doesn't want to pull away, wants to hear her scream, he growls back, tearing his mouth away to bite at her thigh. Fingers take over where he left off, and he strays his gaze up, breath coming short and fast .]

Yes?

[Success. If anything, her wolf was rather predictable and she can garner his attention if the right choices were made. A sharp gasp at the bite but she narrows her eyes down at him, attempting to be serious but it's hard when she's out of breath.]

F-fuck me.

[Ah, but he can smirk now, wide and full of teeth as he looks up at her. His fingers still rock lazily, not enough to satisfy and certainly to teas. He's waited this long, his patience is poor, but there's still a matter of seeing her come so undone.]

Command or plea, Valarie?

[She manages a half assed eye roll before carding her fingers through his hair. A smirk broke out however while a content hum leaves her. If he wanted to play that game...]

Fuck me please, mate. Next time I won't say it as nice.

[There's an edge to her voice at the last bit. This is what he gets for choosing the bar, her domain.]

What if I want not so nice?

[But he leans into her touch with a low noise. With one last flick of his fingers he pulls away to get himself off the floor.]

Up.

[The words are tinged with a growl, commanding and warm all in one. His fingers trail over her hips before he's working at his pants.]@

Well keep it up and you'll certainly get it.

[She tenses at the final touch but cocks her head at the order, taking her time as though she was thinking things through. Her hand slips away to her side lazily. Still the last thing she wanted was to disappoint and gets up as told albeit at her own pace.]

[Always at her own pace, always under her own rules. It's one of the things that he's always found attractive about her, even if it would behoove him to ever let her know. Still, his fingers stray to her hips after he works his pants down, tracing small patterns before he takes on an edge of authority.]

[There's little room for discussion in his tone as he coaxes her towards the bar. If he's been given the opportunity to be her alpha, he might as well enjoy it.]

[Flashing a smirk, she comes in close and pulls him into a drawn out kiss to soak up some more time teasingly. Besides they both got something out of it. When she finally pulls away, her fingers brush low on his stomach before turning her back to him.

He was allowed to have some sway. It was nice to not always be the boss sometimes.]

[The kiss is good, and when she pulls away there's a hint of teeth. But her hands are on him, and even if she's pliant there's always that tease of upset. His mate. His equal.

But the time for thought is over. Instead, he's nosing at the back of her neck, drawing out a condom from his pocket and working it on as he places small bites across her shoulders.

Pushing her forward, he presses her up against the bar, taking a moment to slide himself between her legs with a low groan.]

[She may have at first taken to cracking away that rough attitude of the wolf's out of fun but now it was always to get those affectionate moments. When there was less focus on the bark or bite that ruled him usually. She was hooked on that.

Her hands flex against the edge of the counter before getting a proper grip. A moan slipping out as she rocks back against him.]

[It's a rough correction, but he's sliding into her with that, breath catching in his throat at the feeling. His hand wraps around her waist, fingers slipping down to nudge against her still as he bottoms out with a quiet groan.]
