[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.

The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.

Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.

There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.

Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.

His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.

The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.

He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.

Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

Why do you have all those reports? This is a vanguard issue and last I checked you aren't one. So...why?

Yeah, I'm not. But I have a friend who is. I pulled some strings and go the last few weeks' worth of patrol logs. If he or his Host reported in, I can find it, and possibly even extrapolate Liam's position based on the information I get.

Good luck with that. As if any of us can do anything really. I can't even leave the tower unless with proper reasoning.

[He takes a swig from his beer and rolls his shoulders. He hates how tied his hands were with this.]

Yeah... it's not much. And even if it works, it's going to be awhile.

But it's not like I could just do nothing if he's gone, you know?

If it helps, I have a few people out looking for him, too. This should just make the search easier.

No shit it's going to be a while. Have to get a team together and make sure there's prep work done. I know the whole drill by now.

Who the hell do you have looking for him and how? No formal request has been passed through.

Friends. I promise. Ones who can exploit loopholes, like Mykelle's Sunbreaker friends and warlocks who are out doing research. You know, like Val.

You...you sent out Val? Seriously?

Well, I didn't mean her specifically, exactly? But yeah, I did. Nobody knows Venus as well as she does. If anybody can find him, it's Val.

If he's not dead already, he will be with her. She's not exactly fond of someone making this sort of mistake especially to a second. But....you're not wrong. Damn warlock knows more about the jungles of Venus than the goings of a Tower.

[At least he'll be rezz-ably dead instead of permanently gone? Andrei knows better than to say that, of course.]

Maybe she won't be the one to find him? I have four different parties checking the Ishtar region.

She's the most likely, though.

How did you get the authority to put out four teams to search? I understand Val but three other teams?

The trick is knowing when I don't need authority. I just called up some friends on research trips in the area and asked them to keep an eye out. They cover some massive areas; it's not like they'll be going out of their way to do it.

Last I checked, the sunbreakers aren't exactly researchers. Majority of them are mercenaries. Sure they still fight the darkness but it's not from the goodness of their hearts. Rather for a paycheck. So you're pulling more strings than you think.

Okay, so I did pull a few strings. People do owe me favors, you know. And Liam's worth calling in a few of them.

I suppose so.

[That sounds about right for the warlock or rather any warlock for that matter, making things possible despite the low chance of things remotely working out. Right now he was running low on optimism. So he gives a shrug and works on his beer.]

I'm just trying to make their job easier. It's a big planet, and if I can figure out which team he's been with, I could make some direct calls.

That seems like a worthy excuse. Maybe I can convince the titan to give me better intel on the host and see what was going on. However sometimes it's like pulling teeth so I can't promise anything.

That's okay. For all I know, this could be a total bust.

I'm pretty sure it won't be, though. My network is too good.

Well hopefully it turns up something.

Don't put all your hope in it though.

I'm incredibly worn out, Andrei. Banner wasn't going to happen regardless of you all showing up. I ugh...appreciate the company though. At least you don't try to drag me by my cape and thrown over your shoulder.

I don't think I could drag you anywhere, cape or no cape. And I'm certainly not big enough to carry you over my shoulder.
