Future Stuff ::1:: Been Up All Night

[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.

The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.

Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.

There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.

Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.

His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.

The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.

He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.

Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

Worse mistakes have happened before. Relax though. I'm serious on it being fine.

[That last thing he wanted was for the titan to be caught up on what had happened. He appreciated the apology now rather than blowing up but neither of them deserved to be crushed over a simple screw up.

He steals a soft kiss to distract him.]

Come on. We're supposed to be enjoying time off not moping.

[The distraction is more than sufficient, but he still gently presses his forehead against the hunter's when he pulls away. There's a soft sigh, and he winds his fingers through James' hair to hold him close.]

Promise. But any time with you is time I'm enjoying, yeah?

[Closing his eyes, he gives a pleased noise at the gentle touches and sticks close to the titan. His arms coming around to wrap low on Liam's waist to make sure he remained close as much as he did.]

It sure looks like it.

I'd be a fallen-brained idiot not to.

[But he can't help but relent and drink in James' warmth and closeness.]

Hm I think a Fallen would have better sense that even. Maybe a thrall brained idiot. That seems more befitting.

Hm maybe a knight. You certainly have the whole armor thing going for you. Though you're missing the sword. So maybe you're actually an acolyte at the most.

I don't think I would want you around any sharp objects. You're not exactly the most graceful individual. Besides you'd rather punch things anyway.

Have you seen a knight? Don't need to be graceful to use a sword. Just gotta throw it around a bunch until stuff dies.

You know how easy knights are to kill because of that? Are you really sure you want to do that?

I'd think I'm a little better and a little smarter than your average knight. Plus swords are cool.

I don't know. You haven't exactly proven that you aren't before. Whose to say that you are with just your word? You would drop the sword anyway to fight with your fists.

Nu-uh, you get a sword? You use that sword. Rule of badass. Punching is great, but sword.

...I don't believe you would. Too much of a titan. Sword requires a certain finesse that a hunter can handle. So maybe you're a thrall or an ogre instead.

So what, you're a master sword-handler then? Know how to wield it right?

Obviously yea. Hunters are the ones with all of the fancy blade work training. Last I checked, titans didn't exactly show any proficiency in such things.

Sounds like a lot of talk. Not much proof of that other than your word.

[He stares at him for a good long moment cause really? Really, Liam? There's proof of that not being a thing just a couple minutes ago.]

[Backing out of the room, the hunter heads over to the kitchen.]
