Future Stuff ::1:: Been Up All Night
[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.
The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.
Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.
There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.
Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.
His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.
The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.
He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.
Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

[Like being able to sleep in for one or being in the company of his titan for another. Work used to be nice but the past week had been hell with everything.]
no subject
[He grins over.]
no subject
This dinner being one of them.
[No need to drag the whole night down right now. Deflect the topic and refocus.]
no subject
Next time, I'm taking you out.
no subject
Now that would be another nice thing to enjoy for sure.

[A light tease really and nowhere near being a complaint to be honest. He sneaks more wine, trying to keep this selection in mind of other occasions possibly.]
no subject
[There's another grin flashed, and then it's back to the food.]
no subject
[Food however is returned to gladly if only to forget about the fact that yes a majority of his life as a Guardian was absolute crap. The better parts having been times he spent with his team and others. Liam though was at the top of the list without a doubt.]
no subject
[Food is good, focusing on food is good, but he still can't help but reach over and snag one of James' hands.]
no subject
Glancing over, he smirks some before attempting to eat one handed which wasn't going as awful as it could be. A definite plus in his book.]

He was always being bombarded with so much noise with his current job that he took much more enjoyment out of quiet. Though there was difference between being alone and with company. Much preferred the latter really.
As soon as he's finished does he carefully lean into Liam contently.]
no subject
And when James leans in, he puts an arm around the man's shoulders and holds him close, pressing a soft kiss to his temple.]
no subject
That was good. Glad I made that call.
no subject
[And he's certainly content to stay there for the time, curled around James and enjoying the quiet, But it is a public place, and eventually as the night wears on, leaving seems like a rather nice option. He's still got something to do, after all.]
You have anywhere else you wanted to go tonight?
no subject
No, not really. Are you already wanting to go?
no subject
[There's a grin offered at that.]
no subject
no subject
[There's a slight frown, but he leans in and noses at James' temple.]
no subject
[He buries his face into Liam's shoulder, annoyed with himself that he inquired so much about that. He didn't need to know every detail. This wasn't his job.]
no subject
[He drops a gentle kiss to the crown of the hunter's head.]
It's okay.

He toys with his glass before finishing it off, watching the city around them in slight interest.]
Well this is all I had planned except for the ride home.
