Future Stuff ::1:: Been Up All Night
[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.
The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.
Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.
There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.
Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.
His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.
The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.
He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.
Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

[There's a displeased whirr at the presence of the boots on the desk. The hunter wasn't going to be pleased if he learned how the host leader was treating his office. However his main concern is that he and Tarlowe gently float down onto the desk and rest on it.]
You're not very hard to prep for after so long.
no subject
Liam, however, has the right of mind to look at least mildly indignant.]
Oh come on, I can definitely be unpredictable.
no subject
Not really, no. You only arrived seven minutes off my estimation of coming here.
no subject
[He stretches back in the chair, arms crossed behind his head.]
no subject
[Don't talk shit about his estimations or he will gladly commentate on how something was carelessly done.]
no subject
[He huffs at the accusation. He totally didn't spend time looking at wares. Not even a little.]
no subject
[The ghost trails off before floating up at the sound of footsteps. He flits across the room in time to meet with the entering hunter. Said hunter glancing at the titan with a raised brow.]
Feet off.
no subject
Yeah yeah, sorry.
[He kicks back, boots thumping against the floor as he swings his feet down.]
Good to see you too.
no subject
And you as well. Thought you'd be with the host.
no subject
[It's the truth too, as an added bonus.]
Thought I'd stop by and see my stunningly handsome fiance though.
[As horribly cheesy as his words are, he means each of them down to the very last, and he chances to take a few steps closer and lean in for a kiss.]
no subject
[The distance between them is closed to press his lips to Liam's in a gentle kiss. He smiles after pulling away to press their foreheads together briefly.]
Sap.
no subject
[One hand strays to the back of James' head, his fingers carding through the hunter's hair.]
You're worth waiting for.
no subject
As I said, sap. So what's the visit for anyway? Is it productive or distracting, hm?
no subject
no subject
[He slips past him to survey over his desk, wiping away the stray dirt that had dislodged from the titan's boots. Then he's taking a seat and watching him, ready for an answer.
Sorry Liam but he's still in vanguard mode. Especially after that meeting.]
no subject
[He's grinning as he leans forward onto the desk.]
no subject
[Seven times out of ten, Liam was more than inclined to be thinking up something that involved no clothes. The other three was mix up between food and lazing around. He was lucky if and when the focus was on work.]
no subject
[He grins toothily.]
And hey, you're the one that said it. Not me.
no subject
[He's onto you, Liam.]

[He pouts, only somewhat serious.]
And besides, papers aren't that important, yeah?
no subject
[He genuinely means that as much as he said it back home. There was always the chance to reread and reprint paperwork. There was only one Titan of his.]
