"That is my name, yes," he answers teasingly, laughing at the cat that scurries on through. He continues to hold the present up high and shifts it over to his other hand with a smirk. "What are you going to do about it like that?"

Andrei makes a valiant leap, trying to get Matt to relinquish the package.

Never mind that it's not the one with the black ribbon, so it's not actually Matt's present.

He twists out of the way of the rather annoyed feline and simply keeps the present up. Smiling down at him, Matthieu laughs softly. "What did I say about climbing? Plenty of things other than me in here to do that to. Vrai?"

He wasn't climbing, Matt, he was pouncing. Andrei shifts to a larger cat form and tries to bat the present away.

It's a good thing he bought Liam a sweater, and nothing in that box is breakable.

That was a relatively meager pounce then. However the look in Andrei's eyes is enough for him to back out of the way before a much larger feline takes the place of the house cat. It only encourages more laughter to slip from him.

"Must be something good if you're so quick to try and nab it back."

Andrei growls playfully and bats at Matthieu's hand again, still without claws. He doesn't want to hurt Matt, or accidentally open Liam's present.

"This is only going to make things worse. Maybe I should just claim the whole lot of them," he teases, scritching behind Andrei's ear with his free hand. "Pull a Grinch this year. How's that sound, eh?"

No! Andrei yowls at him, but there's not much heart in it. The scritches feel too good for him to actually be grumpy.

Tsking softly, he steps away to put the present down before coming back over to the couch to pick up the fussing panther. It takes a bit of maneuvering but he's able to get a good grip to hold him up and free a hand so to scratch behind Andrei's ear some more. Almost apologetic but not quite really.

"We both know I won't do that. Overgrown fluff ball."

Oh, good. Liam's present is safe. Andrei vocalizes his protest, though, because he is not an overgrown fluffball. This form has too short of fur for that!

No Andrei he's pretty sure you more than qualify as a fluffball. Especially with the rather furred up paws that the feline possesses currently. Still he's pleased to take a seat on the couch with the murmuring Andrei and continued with the gentle petting.
