[He lets out a ragged sigh before moving into the locker room, rolling his shoulders and checking around to find that he was the only one within for now. The quiet thrumming of the ship a constant reminder that things were still moving forward no matter how badly he wanted to go backwards and merely made him all the more frustrated with how everything had decided to pan out for himself. There was some good though, he couldn't deny that at all so it would be better that he forget about the nightmare for now. Spartans weren't supposed to be afraid of ghosts.
He tugs his shirt up but freezes at the door sliding open with a soft clack, moving to see who the other was though not getting a decent visual in order to confirm who it was. Focusing back on his locker, James pulls off his shirt and folds it up to stow it however there's the feeling of being watched creeping up his spine and not to mention the clunky shuffling of feet. A glance behind him reveals a couple of marines shuffling through to get dressed in regs, their eyes flickering to watch him periodically as though he were a dangerous animal that could snap. Not everyone was a fan of Spartans and it looks like this crew wasn't a part of the 'it's ok' club.
That was fine with him. He at first was like any other helljumper and viewed Spartans as some over glorified freaks that needed to let the actual soldiers do the work. Yet here he is as one of them now but the mark of an ODST still ever present on his back. Still he wasn't going to stay here to get watched and whispered about so he quickly changes into the undersuit before tugging his pants and boots back on. The shirt remains in the locker for now since the suit would cover its job for it regardless.
Pausing briefly to look in the mirror, his hand goes up to brush across the scars and dead eye before rolling his shoulders and heading back out. There was always something happening on the Infinity, best to poke around and see what the hell it was, maybe even find a teammate or two to stow away the desire to crash in his room for an off day.
Definitely tempting now. He skirts around the majority of S-Deck, looking around at the training below and the teams moving about through the rotations of war games. Then it's onto finding his quarters to figure out things without being judged for his life decisions right now.]
