Future Stuff ::1:: Been Up All Night
[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.
The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.
Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.
There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.
Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.
His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.
The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.
He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.
Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

[There's definitely amusement in his tone.]
At least it kept me from being bored? Though uh, not the most comfortable.
no subject
Bored no but the comfortable part? Already can figure out why it wouldn't be, dork. Not exactly needing decryption on that one. Hopefully I can stave off that boredom for you though.
no subject
[But he's laughing all the same, opening his eyes and leaning up to steal a kiss.]
You always do. Always.
no subject
[He lowers his head in order to make the kiss more comfortable, knocking his forehead against Liam's.]
Good to know. I can say the same for you. Never a dull moment really.
no subject
[Or maybe it's because that's far more utilitarian, but that's so much less fun.]
Never gonna be a dull moment for the rest of ever.
no subject
[Hopefully he doesn't have an awkward incident in here. So far he was calming back down which was a definite help.]
Maybe a bit of quiet moments though but those aren't dull either.
no subject
[Oh he's certainly teasing again, and he leans in to drop a quick kiss along the side of James' neck.]
And gotta appreciate the quiet too, yeah?
no subject
What? No. I don't.
And yea, we do. The quiet can be nice sometimes.
no subject
What, I mean it's not a bad thing, like I'll even model for you if you want.
[Is he being a little shit? Of course he is.]
Would take just one quiet moment with you over ten thousand matches in the crucible.

no subject
Love you.
no subject
Uh huh.
no subject
[But he's taking the invitation, placing a few gentle kisses down the line of James' pulse.]
no subject
I know, I know. Love you too.
no subject
[There's an apologetic noise as he rests his head on the hunter's shoulder.]
Promise I'll behave.
no subject
[Yea still blushing but he doesn't give a damn at this rate.]
You don't have to.
no subject
[There's no offense though, just a good natured chuckle.]
no subject
no subject
[There's a definite tease there, and he reaches over to gently take the hunter's hand, running his thumb over the ring.]
no subject
[Definitely going to tease back. He was comfortable again though not necessarily confident, a light dusting of red on his cheeks.]
no subject
[He waggles his fingers a bit, then curls in closer to James.]

no subject
Is that better?
no subject
[He flashes a grin up, squirming a bit to situate himself more.comfortably, then lets out a sigh of contentment, closing his eyes.]
