Future Stuff ::1:: Been Up All Night
[This was not clicking for some reason. He has been staring at these reports for the past hour and half, nothing having been accomplished besides from papers being shuffled around in a semblance of productivity and knives thrown into the pillar behind him out of sheer frustration. His fingers tapping along the worn metal to keep himself from doing further property damage at this rate.
The bottom line was that stress was gnawing at him.
Not from the job though. If anything, reports should came as second nature after the past few months and coordinating had been relatively easy once the rough first week passed by. Being a vanguard should cause less stress than doing actually fieldwork yet here he was at a breaking point almost.
There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Those stupid letters and photos and other bullshit weren't coming in anymore.
Something had to have happened and he's stuck here in this goddamn tower like a fresh rezzed moron.
His hands were effectively tied as well. No one could be sent out without the other two's approval and even then it'd be brought forward to discussion by the head vanguard. Which means that nothing could happen for days and he'll be sitting on his ass like he already was. All it did was make him all the more frustrated about having given up his freedom to leave as he so pleased because at least then someone would be out there trying to figure out what happened.
The hunter buries his face in his hands with an exhausted sigh leaving him. He probably looked like hell at this rate. Throwing himself into long hours had made his sleep schedule an abysmal handful of hours in the past few days. Half the time he didn't know how he wasn't passing out during meetings. Be easy to. Pull the hood further down, lean down on the table and maybe get an hour or two of on and off rest. Might be the best time to try it out to be quite honest since the hall was dead before attempting it when there'd be actual repercussions to getting caught.
He grunts after stretching out on the table some, pillowing his head with his arms for something close to comfortable. Shade is called out of transmat to keep a watch on things while an attempt at a nap was made. The ghost whirling softly in concern but does as told.
Things suck. Might as well try to ignore it for the time being.]

[Pressing a kiss to Liam's cheek, he slips away to rummage through the piles of clothes before locating his pants. Few moments later he's once more in his chair and pulling up to the desk, taking out all of the files and data pads he needs.]
You could pick up everything you made fall. Just saying.

[It's only mostly teasing, and he leans over to steal a kiss proper before James manages to slip away entirely. The hunter maybe has the right idea. Pants may be a good idea.
Following suit, he manages to slip his sweats back on before he actually sets to work picking up some of the papers that litterd about.]

[He's not paying much attention to the Titan now. His focus instead placed upon the depths of a lunar patrol report. The pile needed to be chipped away at and besides there was ample space in his lap for when Liam finished.]
no subject
[It's entirely a joke; so rarely does he see James in such a work persona, and he can appreciate the man's dedication. That didn't mean that he liked it, he'd much rather steal his hunter away, but he'll live if he can't have the man's attention all the time.
Papers are shuffled and placed on the desk as he works, admittedly with no regard for order but hey, they're off the ground. That was the agreement. And when everything is finally off the floor and the place looks at least somewhat presentable he slides over and drapes himself across James' lap with a contented noise.]

The papers are sorted through as they come back onto his desk. His rather meticulous tendencies showing with each new pile that returns back to where it had once been before a certain titan of his decided to make a messy distraction.
Though when Liam plops himself into his lap, he steals away a brief kiss even if in the middle of a report. He hadn't been lying when he said that he meant far more than any paper could. Humming contently, he winds an arm around him and gets back to work.]
no subject
As much as he'd like to distract further, he doesn't. Instead he relaxes against James, all but melting into the arm about his waist and letting his eyes slip shut until he's half-dozing. He's with his hunter now, he's content and he couldn't ask for more.]

An hour later and he's made enough progress to call it quits. Forgetting the neat stacks of papers and whirling datapads, he noses at Liam's temple to see if the man had decided to conk out on him.]
Liam? Come on sleepy head.
no subject
Mngh?
[It's not eloquent, but he nuzzles into James' shoulder with a yawn.]

The paperwork was done. There wasn't any excuse to stay any longer especially with a tired Titan in his arms. He gently rights the hold before standing up and heading for the door. Shade flitting up to transmat the rest of his armor before waiting to follow out with Tarlowe.
Quite the duo heading through the vanguard hall. Half naked hunter assistant and a comatose host leader. He didn't care what anyone thought though.]
no subject
Should go home.
[There's still a teasing lilt to his comment, even though his voice is thick with sleep.]
no subject
[He pauses for but a moment to press a reassuring kiss to Liam’s temple. Then he adjusts him to be held close as wanted before heading off to the plaza. The open air chills him but it’ll be quick to head into the interior of the tower and further on closer to the end goal of home.]
Where do you think I’m headed? Got a sleepy titan that needs a bed.

[It’s a slow yet steady walk back to the apartment though he does face a troubling task. Opening the door while his arms are rather well preoccupied. So it takes a second of teamwork between Shade unlocking and turning while he pushes in.
Step one completed. He shrugs his shoulders, feeling the low burn of an ache creep through them with carry his titan for so long. Heading upstairs, the hunter drops the titan off at the bed before rolling his shoulders.]
There we go. Way more comfortable than my office, yea? Should get some sleep.
no subject
[He's not even sure what that means, but it sounds good at the time and he'd much rather focus on the warmth of James' arms than making sense.
The rest of the way home is quiet and there isn't enough time before he hits the bed. Blinking tiredly, it takes a moment for Liam to figure out where he is but as soon as the thought sinks in he's reaching up to gently grab at James' hand.]
C'mere.
no subject
[There’s no attempt to pull away as his hand gets taken. It only encourages him to lace their fingers together as he leans over the bed. Gently he noses at Liam’s temple.]
Want company?
no subject
[Traveler, he's never allowing himself to be away for so long ever again. Not when he has the best thing in the universe waiting for him back home.]
Love you.
no subject
Tugging up the covers and blankets, he pulls him over and tucks him close. His hand staying in Liam’s.]
Love you too. Get some rest.
